CLASSGOALS: •Realize the importance of social studies in lifelong learning •Recognize the contributions of early civilizations •Demonstrate understanding of how civilizations form and what role they play in shaping the world CIVILIZATIONS WE WILL STUDY: Students will be challenged in this course as they learn about these ancient civilizations: Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, India, Greece, Rome, and the Early Middle Ages. Throughout this year, they will discover the people, events, and special accomplishments of each civilization and how they left their mark on a changing world.
